Photinia x Fraseri "Red Robin"
New Zealand
-
-
The name Photinia comes from the Greek word "photeinos," meaning "shiny," which perfectly describes this plant with its glossy leaves. Photinias have become popular in European gardens due to their bright red foliage and qualities that make them an excellent choice for hedges. Belonging to the rose family (Rosaceae), Photinia flowers are small and white, but the main feature cultivated is the intense red color of the young shoots and leaves. The bushy Photinia is an attractive evergreen shrub, known for its red foliage that brings color and vibrancy to gardens year-round. Reaching a height of around 100 cm, this bushy shrub is perfect for forming hedges, as a decorative accent, or in group plantings. Young leaves are bright red, while older foliage turns dark green, providing seasonal contrast and visual appeal.

The plant is hardy and low-maintenance, though removing dry and damaged branches contributes to a healthier and more attractive appearance.

We cannot influence their maintenance and care, and consequently their further growth and development.
Our plants regularly undergo phytosanitary and vegetative inspections, therefore we do not have diseased or infected plants.
